This poor little guy got stuck in a sticky fly trap and lost all of his tail feathers and also we had to trim one wing. We are trying to rehabilitate him until his feathers come back and he can fly again. As of right now he is very strong and is eating and drinking and very active. Does anyone know what kind of bird he is? We live in Southern California about 40 miles north of Los Angeles in Santa Clarita. There is a group of birds that fly together through the neighborhood that look just like him but with tail feathers. They act like finches and fly together as a group through the trees and bushes, I assume to find bugs to eat.

Please let me know what kind of bird this is so we can better help to rehabilitate him.

Thank You!

Tony
