That's actually a pretty cool image. It really shows how birds necks are have much more rotation than ours, and it's not limited to owls.

I called it the twisty bird! Thanks, this was the third day or so with my new camera. I hadn't even learned shutter speed yet, so not sure how I got it clear!

There was an old House Wren who lived in a shoe.
She had so many nestlings, she didn't know what to do.
She gave them some food and wished them the best,
Then lead them to the door and kicked them out of the nest.

They all gave me a good chuckle but @The Bird Nuts wins this round and gets to pick the next photo.

I do like the pied Piper of Hamlin...

Quote

Rats! They fought the dogs and killed the cats,
And bit the babies in the cradles,
And ate the cheeses out of the vats,
And licked the soup from the cooks' own ladle's,
Split open the kegs of salted sprats,
Made nests inside men's Sunday hats,
And even spoiled the women's chats
By drowning their speaking
With shrieking and squeaking
In fifty different sharps and flats.

Speaking of rats... This is a GREAT book that is well worth reading. It's not a forever long book and yet it it has plenty of info. By the time you finish reading it you will think that they are going to take over the world,(What else survives an atomic bomb?!?) and that the are one of the most ineradicable animals on earth.
