Just saw it on the news. Hope you weren't too shook up by it!!!

We live in Twin Falls, about 300 or so miles south. Not a big deal, but it felt like the house was shifting back and forth a few feet and lights started to swing!

they are sooooo good

They are the BEST!!  What's ur fav in the series? Mine is Halt's Peril, but I am currently reading Emperor of Nihon-Ja so I'm not done with the series.  I read Halt's Peril in about 36 hours including about 16 hrs of sleeping, that's how good it was!  Now I want a Ranger Cloak! LOL

That's a pretty good quake. Glad you're OK! We had three last week but not that big (and not unusual here).

my personal favorite has to be "the battle for skandia" just because i love the Scandinavians in general and i think they are pretty funny. but i also really like "battle for hackham heath" and "sorcerer of the north"

Yes, that was a great story too!  Really, all the books are amazing!

I have yet to read any other of the series than the "original series" if you will.  I'll have to read that series next. ?

Finally saw a Canada Goose for the first time in 9 years

I didn't realize Canada Geese were so hard to see in the south. Around here, if somebody said that they never saw a goose they'd need their eyes checked immediately. :classic_tongue:

Maybe south of I-10 they are.  Here they're on most golf courses and farm ponds.

How on earth is that even possible??????  I mean I saw at least 20 today in less than two hours of birding at lakes/ponds.

I found a hummingbird nest today! Not sure if it is a Ruby-throated or Black-chinned Hummingbird nest yet. it is so small, I thought it was a knot on the tree at first.

It is a Black-chinned Hummingbird nest.

Really cool! I've found several Anna's over the years and watched them grow up. If you ever get to see the eggs that is a sight! Pea sized is no exaggeration. I have some really cool pictures floating around somewhere. Enjoy
