God was definitely protecting us! Wow that sounds scary! Glad you’re all OK.

Aidan B
Anyone want to help me edit the 270 good photos I took this weekend and will put on ebird? I already pulled them out of the 6500 photos that I took on my trip. Sorting them only took me four hours! I don't even want to know how long it will take to edit them! ???

As unfortunately expected, it was a no go for both of those. Disappointing, but I saw a Greater Yellowlegs so I think I’ll make it.

I would rather do my own root canal with a Dremel tool, a pair of Vice-Grips, and a shot of Red Bull. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

I can completely understand that happening with cooperative shorebirds though, I think I took 400-500 once even though I only had 5 different subjects ? Still need to look through those some more. https://ebird.org/checklist/S88914800

Congrats on the creeper @Seanbirds! My Nemeses: Blue-winged Teal, Bell's Vireo, Peregrine Falcon, Spotted Sandpiper, Eastern Towhee, etc., etc. (newest addition to my signature- the incomplete list of birds that every Kansas birder should have seen that I have yet to see.)
