My parents have a brief brake from work so we’re going a little bit to some family property for a few days, hopefully I can find something good up there!

Filled up some feeders and placed them strategically, now I’ve got a few siskins and redpolls visiting them. Cant wait to share some photos with y’all!

I just got back from Lubbock, such a pretty place, nice big trees, swampy almost every where....Some of you will find that funny, but for the rest of you who don't know, west Texas is dry, windy, and flat.

Good for you! Lubbock is nice. (No, I haven't been there but I'm a geography nerd so I know quite a bit about seemingly random towns and cities in the US.)

Do you play GeoGuesser? I’m terrible at it, though I can usually get the country or close to it.

Yeah, I just don't like having too many accounts. Maybe another time I will.

That's why I stopped playing it. I didn't want Yet Another Account.

One of my favorite moments from when I was playing, was landing in front of a county boundary sign at the start of a bridge that I knew was in Virginia. The only question was which road was crossing the Shenandoah River. I quickly figured it out, and my position guess was only about 2 feet off.

I just assume at this point that Google already tracks all my activity so just use my account to log into all this stuff. They already know more about me than I do. This isn't really something that can be fixed on the individual level, and ultimately needs regulators to step in to fix it imo.

This is about half an hour away from me, and it was seen again today, I’m going to stake it out late tomorrow morning! Really really hoping it shows up ?

Well...dipped painfully. Spent a couple hours there, half an hour after I left it showed up again and remained for the rest of the afternoon. Oof, might be able to go out on Thursday but I doubt it will stick until then.

Why I don't chase.  Too much like work.

Sometimes it can be a lot of fun and very rewarding, especially if its in a place were there's a bunch of birds already...but yeah I understand, it can feel like a chore, especially if you dip or its not likely that it will be around.
