Are those temperatures in C or in F?

In Celsius, so not as bad as if those temps were in Fahrenheit, but still horrible regardless 😂.

They keep adjusting the forecast to be colder, but I guess it doesn’t matter as I’m not planning on leaving the house!

This is an interesting incident that happened to me a couple weeks ago.

On one of my walks I noticed a bunch of bird activity at Sanford Health. Orchard Hills Assisted and Congregated Living.(Dell Rapids)

All this activity was due to the bird feeders which were all over, so I decided to come back another morning with the heavy artillery(gloves, and another pair of binoculars(X20). When I did go there again, I sat down, got out my binoculars, and waited close to the feeders(leaning against a lamp post). Soon after realizing I misjudged the hotspot activity startup time, my fingers began to get really cold, so I did what most sensible people would NOT do. I left my backpack(with my binoculars and everything!) and ran back to the apartment where I lived to get hand warmers and shove them in my gloves. Luckily no one had stolen my stuff(yay!), unfortunately there were caretakers or something waiting for me. Now think for a moment how creepy I looked, black jacket with the hood pulled over my face, binoculars, and a big black backpack(yikes). So they naturally asked A: was that my backpack, B: why you have binoculars. I said I was birding, then they just kinda looked at me and I got the vibe that I should leave.(I did)

if you read this, thank you for listening to my story.

Sadly you will run into that too often. 🙁 Generally people are just curious, but some people are very rude. If those guys were care takers they do have a reason to wonder what you were doing at least(but if you were watching feeders, wouldn't be a pretty self explanatory?).

I bird on the dirt road I live on all the time, never had a problem till two guys stopped one day. They started out with a solid stream of profanity, wanted to know what I was doing, my name, because they were going to find out what I was doing, and report me. I was so not expecting it, so it got me really off guard, and honestly they scared me a little. I would handle them much better if they popped up again, they gave me plenty of ammunition.

I've had the local police pull up beside me a couple of times as I was walking around an area.  In both cases, someone had called about my car being parked in a place where cars are rarely parked, with no one around for a couple of hours.  In both cases it was cool; once, when I pointed out a Red-tailed to the officer, he borrowed my binos to take a look for himself.
