@Snake Fingers, I'd like to apologize for my snarky post yesterday. I was trying to make a point, and regret that I didn't find a friendlier way to do that. I didn't realize just how snarky I was being until I re-read my words this morning. Please accept my sincere apology for my poor behavior.

Better than me. I have only done 8 in two hours. We usually do 36 birds in a batch, and it takes forever. We bought a plucker, and that quickens it up so much.

Let me be clear, I skin ours, plucking is just too much work.

Right. Besides when your putting them in soup and such, it doesn't even matter. Also going from store chicken to free ranging our own, the flavor change was tremendous. The meat now has flavor, and it's so moist and tender.

So true!! Same with their eggs, too. I'd trade two dozen store-bought eggs for two eggs from yard chickens any day!

Ain't it the truth!! I just got home from Walmart, where I paid $3.58 for 1/2 dozen eggs!! That's almost 60 cents per egg, actually more after tax is added!!! :classic_blink:
