Mush 7
Hello, Simple one today, just making sure this florida bird is a gray cheeked thrush. No prominent eye ring, and grayish cheeks. Also, my flash went off when I took this photo, so that's why its so illuminated. I feel bad, because I'm scared it can hurt birds, but he seemed to not even care. What's the general consensus on flash vs birds? Is it bad?
Birding Boy 2,268
I agree with Gray-Cheeked Thrush for the reasons you mentioned. I don't know much about flash vs Birds, but I feel that while one exposure probably wouldn't harm it, repeated or super close exposures might.

Birding Boy 2,268
I don't have much experience with that species and didn't even consider it as a possibility, I agree. I guess that reddish brown in the wings is a pretty good mark for the species.
