Wing pattern

Can you recommend a good resource/website/book to look at wing patterns? Or is it better to look through all the possible ducks that it might be and find the right one?

Sibley illustrates all species in flight.

Some dabbling ducks (like the one in question) have narrow white patches in the middle of the underside of the wings and with the leading and trailing edges being roughly the same darkness.

Some dabbling ducks have narrow white patches in the middle of the underside of the wings, but with the leading edge noticeably blacker than the trailing edge.

Some dabbling ducks have extensively white underwings.
