uh sounds good. I've already entered sooooo. (you should pick your own cause its so good! I don't think there is a rule against picking your own)

I am NOT going to pick my own. I just drew that for fun. I'll be judging you guys' entries, not mine.

That is excellent! Could you tell me what kind of color pencils you are using? I have never managed to get such intense colors with color pencil. Does the type of paper make a difference?

Thank you! Don't draw birds very often (usually cats, dogs, horses) so this is a fun way to get me motivated to practice. I use Prismacolor, Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils. (Some women buy shoes, I buy art supplies. Lol! Dick Blick has good prices and sales.) I drew this on Strathmore Color Pencil paper, 400 series, medium surface. I also use Gamsol odorless mineral spirits with a brush to blend the colors when I don't want the tooth of the paper to show.

Thank you very much! You should teach a class!

You're welcome! And no, I'm still learning how to use color pencils (I usually work in pastels). Still watching YouTube videos for color pencil techniques and haunting some Facebook artist groups for tips.
