Sorry for the delay, got home later than I thought I would... So, congrats, Birds are Cool! Good job, love your perseverance, and there's a definite improvement between your 2 posted drawings. You're the winner - you get to pick the next bird to draw, and set the deadline.

Quiscalus quiscula
I overworked the paper with marker in one spot and it kinda shows...my sketchbook paper probably isn't heavy enough to stand up to the abuse. Loosely used one of @Tanager 101's photos as a reference. Also, is it possible that https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/353070071#_ga=2.89274523.1059487371.1663935882-1804096732.1663935882 may have scaly foot? The Bird Nuts
@Quiscalus quiscula you're the winner!   I guess we'll take a break from this contest for now. I guess I'll just make the dead line extra long since people seem to be quite busy. How about Canada Goose (I don't think we've done them yet) by November 15?

Thanks! Contrast is important too..although, in this piece I purposely lowered the contrast for a more stylized look... Anyway, I believe seeing contrast doesn't come naturally and artists have to teach themselves to see it and just how dark the darks are.
Colton V
Quick sketch of a goose coming in for a landing. I didn’t use any reference images so proportions are off.
