Avery
I think the bird gods are making up for teasing me with glimpes of GHOW flying away or in complete darkness over the years. After the one I saw last week, I saw two today. One was perched ON THE TELEPHONE WIRE on the way to the park I was going to, and this one was in the park being mobbed by crows. I'm not complaining or anything, I'm just hoping the same exact situation I have with EASO resolves in the same way! https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/546772401

Birds are cool
A Red-bellied Woodpecker while running. I had my 10k race today, and I am very sore from it, so I have not been able to get out birding a lot today. (my calves have been burning since right after the race.)

Peromyscus
Eastern Phoebe pair looking like they are building a nest under a footbridge in a local park. This would be the first nesting in that part of this stream-side park in a decade. We watched them for 15 or 20 minutes. Also in the park was a year-old female Cooper's Hawk, and an adult Red-shouldered Hawk being harassed by a Fish Crow.

Tanager 101
Went to photograph some ducks this morning. Unfortunately the road was flooded so I had to bird somewhere else. So refound the Cinnamon Teal. Either that or Savannah Sparrow (Rare)

Peromyscus
The American Robin this morning that was on a two lane street in front of an elementary school (which is on Easter break). It was in the middle of the road, and facing away from me its back color was kind of blending in with with the pavement color. I drove up very slowly in my car, not wanting to frighten it into flying in front of my moving wheels. It just stood there, some 4 feet from me & the car, before hopping slightly further away.
