Steller's Jay?

Recommended Posts

Duck Creek Campground, Dixie National Forest, southwestern Utah.  In the eastern branch of the campground, just before the road splits into a loop, there's a bathroom.  There's a spruce about six feet in front of the bathroom door.  My lifer Steller's was about seven feet up in the tree.  The bird should still be there, unless it's moved since 2002.  Still, any excuse to go back to southwestern Utah ...

Come to think of it, about 90% of the stellers jays I’ve seen have been beside a roadside washroom....

In May of this year, Hubby & I were to do a 10-day hiking tour of the Utah national parks.  COVID dashed those dreams. ?   But American [Airlines] sure kept our $$.
