sbruenjes
I saw these birds today at a park in Northern New Jersey. I don't remember if pics 2 & 3 are the same bird... I believe the first 3 are red-tailed hawks, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
hbvol50
Not sure about 2 but rest are red-tails
Avery
2 is a red-tail. Only other buteos around now would be a late red shouldered, or an early roughie in New Jersey. No commas, and no panel in je wings, leaving red tail. Also, I saw roughies and red tail today in their gliding stance, and 2 looks exactly like the red tails.

Tony Leukering
2 hours ago, Avery said: late red shouldered Red-shouldered Hawk winters throughout New Jersey. The species is, in fact, a permanent resident. Additionally, the species is a relatively late fall migrant, and some are still southbound, though most of those are adults. #2 is a Red-shouldered 2
