RobinHood
Is the second one OK for a !st winter Blackpoll or is the breast streaking not definitive enough?

I was thinking blackpoll too, but I couldn’t figure out why. I got enough practice this fall to get most of the fall bay-breasted/blackpoll I saw without looking at the feet. I think it’s because the top wing bar isn’t prominent, the slightly smaller bill, and the light streaks.

And the bill is finer, the eyeline more pronounced Blackpoll Bay-breasted

However, I now know that my subconscious recognizes differences, even though it may take me years to consciously recognize them; it's happened to/with me so many times.
