Could one of these be a Cackling?

Recommended Posts

The smaller bird has the shallow (top to bottom) beak typical of Canada Goose, and quite unlike the thick-based and short bills of Cacklers. There is great variation in size in Canada Goose, both within and among various subspecies. As example, the range of wing chord lengths (a widely-used index of overall size) in Canada Goose is 400-548 mm, a percentage difference that is nearly twice the difference in height between a human five feet tall and one six feet tall.
