Mush 7
Hello, I saw this Warbler at Cape Canaveral, Florida. At first I thought this was a plain-old yellow-throated Warbler, but someone said it may be the rare subspecies, Setophaga dominica albilora. What do you guys think? The lores look pretty white to me (but I see a faint faint bit of yellow near the beak), but I not sure I want to submit it to eBird and iNaturalist before I run it through here. Thanks! Connor Cochrane 2,624
Looks good for the pale-lored albilora to me.
Kevin 3,712
I will hazard a guess. Yellow-throated Warbler (albilora) @Connor Cochrane? Edit: I guess i am a bit late... Edited December 8, 2020 by Kevin
Tony Leukering 2,531
Beware that nominate can show very little yellow and that the bit of yellow here might be enough for that subsp or it might indicate that it's an intergrade. Both subsp breed in NJ, and not all that far apart.
