Note the broad, blurry streaks of a Sharp-shinned instead of the thin, neat streaks of a Cooper's. The Bird Nuts Posted December 29, 2020 Share Posted December 29, 2020 This is a Cooper's Hawk. Western Coops have blotchier streaking than the ones in the east. This bird is too tall and tubular for a Sharpie, and its eyes are small, close to the front of the head, and have a fierce expression, its head is flat and pretty much even with the top of the bill, and the tail feathers are significantly graduated. 1 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
