chipperatl 451
Thought it would be flyover Canada Geese, it was American Crow flyovers instead.

Also 2 rarities (one of which I spotted, and the other I got 2-3 feet from). And I spotted the first rare bird of 2021 for the county! AlexHenry 1,436
Oak Titmouse was my first bird of the year in my backyard while putting the hummingbird feeder out

That’s more than twice the amount of species for my whole province and more than half of the whole country that were reported today. Thinking about moving 🤔

Aveschapines 831
I didn't see this last night but my guess would have been White-Eared or Rivoli's Hummingbird. They show up at the feeders outside my bedroom window at dawn. Sure enough it was a White-Eared.

MerMaeve 391
Happy New Year! My first bird of the year was an American Goldfinch. I got 32 species, which put me tied for second in our county.
Aidan B 908
First bird for me was a Eurasian Wigeon, which was completely unexpected because it was lifer for me as well! I pulled up to the Doran Entrance Ponds and in the first flock I looked at was a stunning red headed duck, It completely drew my attention away from the other ducks, so that's why I say it's the first bird of the year. My second, third, and forth birds of the year were American Wigeon, Mallard, and Mew Gull. I ended with 84 species for the first day of 2021!
