Need help with identification.  saw this bird in Agawam, Massachusetts around 8:30 AM today Sept 17 in a tree near a church parking lot

I think that's a Red-tailed Hawk, with the white spots on the middle of the back, the dark belly band that I think I see, and the brown tail with narrow black bars, which makes it an immature.

Edit: Sniped by psweet, which settles it.

Be careful with the barring on the tail -- eastern Red-tails lack barring on the tail as adults, but quite a few Western show a good deal of barring. (But that would be dark bars on a red tail, rather than the brown we see here.)
