Bad hair day sparrow?

Recommended Posts

These pictures are from Alamosa NWR in Colorado on July 14.  The bird was back lit and pretty far away for my eyes.  When I saw it, I thought it was a waxwing or some sort of Jay.  However,  the Alamosa wildlife list does not show waxwings or jays as present.  Now I'm thinking it is a Song Sparrow with a couple of ruffled feathers.   Or maybe a Chipping Sparrow?  Appreciate some help nailing it down...
