Which Finch?

Not sure if this is just a Purple Finch? This was taken in White Rock, New Mexico.

House Finch. Purple would show some rosiness in the wings and mixed in with brown on side of head.

New Mexico is out of range for Purples.  The first shot appears to have a bit of a crest; I'm going with Cassin's.

EDIT: Are these all the same bird?  The second and third appear streakier underneath than the first one.  Could 1 be Cassin's, and 2 and 3 be House?

I think they're all House Finches -- the red is most pronounced on the forehead rather than the crown, and the primaries are quite short. Also, Purple's wander a lot -- New Mexico may be out of range, but not entirely out of the question.

I don't remember, the last two are the same bird, the first one was taken right before the other two, but I can't remember if it was the same one.

The streaking on the flanks of House is outside the purple color on the underparts.
