On a subjective personal note, the male of this species reminds me a little of the female Eclectus Parrot.

Next:

This bird's genus comprises two species, one of which intrudes slightly into the US. Their legs are long and grayish, and as in both species, their toes are extremely long for walking on aquatic vegetation such as lily pads.
