TickledPink 0
Hi, I saw this bird today and was wondering if it's a merlin? Thanks!

Charlie Spencer 3,392
Is it just me or are we seeing more Merlin questions this winter?

Jefferson Shank 1,978
Is it just me or are we seeing more Merlin questions this winter? If it's just you, it's me too... If it's just you two, it's me too. So I guess we are all in the same shoes. (that would be a tight fit!!)

Oh don't worry, I'm not done growing yet. I would be happy at a size 16 shoe and 6 foot 4 inches. I don't really want to be any bigger than that. I tend to not look at range maps for bird ID, as it can be unnecessary evidence against a rarity. The tail bands make it either a prairie or a pacific, and it’s certainly not a praire...

Yeah, I'm supposed to be around 6' 3 (I still haven't hit my growth spurt yet for some reason), which is short for my dad's side, but it makes sense considering people in my mom's family are pretty short. It comes in very handy when you need to squeeze in tight places to get out of the rain. You also don't have to dig a very deep foxhole if you're in the Army.
