Yep! Quivira is amazing in the number of birds that stop by. We were there once when a huge number of geese suddenly decide to take off at the same time and the roar of their wings for that moment defies my ability to describe. In Colorado Greater White-fronted Geese I would see maybe two at a time, at Quivira 100s maybe 1000s. Sandhill Cranes I had seen more in Monte Vista, Colorado migration during the Crane festival but there were still a bunch at Quivira. The first time we went we hoped to see Whooping Cranes. We left having not seen them but then they were reported the next morning.? I have now seen one here in Florida but it was very distant would love to see more some time. Ducks at Quivira numbers also amazing. Shorebirds numbers also crazy. Highly recommend this place to all birders especially if you are going to be in the area.

I HAVE to go there!
