Last April I had a little Hermit Thrush stay in my yard for a couple weeks during migration. Saw him again today. Hopefully he sticks around for a couple more weeks like he did last year.

24 Mar 2021 Baldwin co. AL  Hooded Warbler today!  He surprised us at dusk.  Hubby took pic while I marveled in his (the bird's not the hub's :D)  presence.  

I've seen them displaying and I've flushed them before, but only once did I have a good view of one in the daytime. Here's the best picture I've taken of one. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/3133451

FoYs this morning: Pied-billed Grebe, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and an early Yellow-rumped Warbler!

Layover birds: Common Redpoll and American Tree Sparrow

County FoYs: Great Blue Heron and American Goldfinch

Other spring things of note: Muskrat, beaver, Phoebe, wood ducks, and hoodies!

Found my first chipping sparrow of the year today. Apparently one of the first ones of the year for most of Canada (except for the southern parts like Ontario, Victoria etc.)
Also the first day that NRW swallows showed up here. 
Hoping for more migrants tomorrow morning before I leave.
