Tony Leukering
Correct on all. Leg color and LEG LENGTH assist in the IDs. Snowy has dark legs and Semi has longer legs with more bare leg above the ankle (the tarso-metatarsal joint; known by many as the "knee" but it definitely ain't that!) than Piping has, and that difference is shown well in your pix. This feature may not work on all individuals, but it's a surprisingly useful feature (Piping vs. Semi) Of course, there's really no need to use such an esoteric field mark, because if you can see that on a live bird, you can probably see the dark brown upperparts and wide, connected neck ring of a Semi or the pale upperparts and the you-call-that-a-neck-ring neck ring.

I had these on a shared list from birding with a group, but this is my first time IDing these various plovers on my own, so I consider them Lifers! 🙂 Edited March 11, 2021 by floraphile typo
