Scott Hubbard Posted March 9, 2021 Share Posted March 9, 2021 I saw these ducks at Dutch Gap, south of Richmond VA today. I know these are unusual. At least for me. The females are quite distinctive in their own right, particularly that odd head shape. Shape -- overall and of parts -- is a critical aspect of bird ID.
