Small Bird Help Needed

This small bird was spotted on a trail in coastal South Carolina. Need ID help please.

This is a Savannah Sparrow.

FYI, now that we have unlimited 'Likes', we're encouraging using those and getting away from seconding, thirding, etc.  In this case, The Bird Nuts' 'Like' acts as a 'Seconded' post.

Only a couple people are encouraging that.  I, personally, don't like that idea at all.  I "Like" posts if they give their reason for the ID, if what they said was funny or clever, etc., not necessarily because I know that their identification is correct.

So a like confirms that the person is correct? Is that understood within the whatbird community?

Apparently there wasn't as much agreement on the idea as I thought.

Likes are definitely the way to go when concurring with previous posters, unless that particular person has something to add. After someone makes an ID on a bird, the natural assumption should be that the community concurs, unless someone else posts a conflicting suggestion. There's really no need to have multiple posts simply saying "agreed" or "I agree" on a simple ID of a House Sparrow, for instance.

I see one issue, though.  If we just use Likes (which are used for multiple reasons), we won't be able to tell whether people are agreeing with the ID or refraining from commenting because they are unsure of the ID.  (I hope I'm making sense.)

If you aren't sure what the ID is, don't like the ID. Or, say that you aren't sure if the ID is correct.

New members and people with not a lot of knowledge about forums will not know this and will use Likes how they are normally used.  They are often used to say thanks, say that they liked only part of what was said, or simply to acknowledge a response.  I think we need a separate "Agree" button.

Totally agree. I usually click "Like" to tell someone thanks for the ID.

I think that seconding and thirding is way less ambiguous.

I started to "like" this comment, but then I wasn't sure if you would think I was agreeing with you, or whether you would think I actually liked what you said. Agreed.

I will like some one's post if if they give especially good reasons why the bird is what it is, a particularity hard id, or if someone spent some time doing some research adding links etc.
