Thought I would get a complete id for you on this from my Butterfly Book but I see why you didn't go further. It looks really good for Mormon Fritillary until you look at Callippe Fritillary....

I appreciate your help...thanks!! 🙂 Yeah, I couldn't figure it out so I finally just settled for Fritillary which bugs [pun intended] me as per my OCD tendencies I don't like to leave things as ''unknown''!!!

Colorado-Bullsnake mimicking the head shape of a rattlesnake. Bullsnakes will also coil like a rattlesnake. This is a defense mechanism used to warn off threats.

I always wondered why they flattened their head out like that.
