High 3 low 4 imo.

Agreed. High three. Bad composition, bad background, noisy, and pretty strange/poor sharpness. That being said, exposure and the bird’s pose is good.

These also!
Five?? This is a three. Very poor lighting, and poor sharpness and it’s pretty noisy and cluttered.

Five? This is a solid four IMO.

Again, this is very noisy, and it’s super noticeable. Solid four. Not five.

Notice the time of day for those beautiful photos. That Golden Hour of lighting comes awfully early, especially when you need to allow time for breakfast, transportation, hiking from the car to the water, and then getting set up and situated at your destination.

Oh yeah, don't forget that you have to be awake enough to operate the camera, too. That's the part I always get hung up on. I'm usually awake an hour or more before sunrise but not always awake enough to get out and take advantage of the Golden Hour.

Oh yeah, I know!! The good news is that in the last hour of light it’s also quite nice, so you don’t have to be up early. But, the morning light is still better than the late day light in terms of color.

He has a couple of really good YouTube channels.  He was first one I saw using the Canon R5 and was blown away by it.

I watch all the videos!
