Birds of North America

Recommended Posts

There was a Birds of North America previously that had pics of over 750 species of birds.  I put up a webpage to keep track of the birds, https://www.balancethechaos.com/whatbird---birds-of-na.html.  I guess we can start over.  Guidelines were photo had to be taken in Basically the old ABA area.  Maybe we expand to the whole ABA area, putting Hawaii in play?  Thoughts?  I’ll go back to tracking found and missing.

There is also the National Wildlife Federation's guide Field Guide to Birds of North America which contains many photographs of different species.  It covers extensively the birds throughout all of North America. ?

Greetings fellow Michigander.  The previous forum, members had posted pictures of over 750 different species they photographed in the U.S. and Canada.  We are having to start over now though.

It's also great being able to see fellow member's photos, and to share photographs of your own.

@MerMaeve If I remember correctly from the thread on the old site, it's basically to try to show the Whatbird community's photographic life list. Has to be your photo and there shouldn't be repeats (i.e: you and I shouldn't both put a Glaucous-winged Gull), and that's basically it. It's cool to see how many species in the ABA area we collectively have managed to photograph.

Yep.  I’ll work on updating the tracking site this weekend now that we are on a second page.
