dragon49
There is no breeding season for my local Muscovy Ducks, as I see chicks all year. There are currently 3 broods in the neighborhood. Depending on how you define the local area, there are around 30-50 adult, full-time residents. There would be hundreds competing for limited resources, if it weren't for the raptors playing one of nature's roles. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/468773351 Edited July 20, 2022 by dragon49

RobinHood
Second brood chicks appeared today - 50m sprint over the water (should have been using video) and in full exploration mode.
dragon49
More Muscovy Duck chicks. This is probably the best duckling picture I've taken. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/470481841
