HinaJ
Hello everyone, I have found this bird near my home, i live in Dubai. This bird cant fly, her size is quite small like a sparrow but have big wings. It can't fly at all. It keeps hiding herself in the corners or under something. which bird is this? what it eats? how to take care of it?

Trevor L.
I believe it looks like a Common Swift, though I am not familiar with the birds in the area. They eat mostly insects in the wild. I don't think you should care for it. If there is a wildlife hospital (or something similar to that; I'm not sure if there are wildlife hospitals in Dubai), take it there. Otherwise, I'm not sure what to do, and swifts don't exactly make great pets, from what I know.

aveschapinas
I agree, if there is a wildlife welfare agency in Dubai ask them for advice. If not, a zoo might also be able to help; in some places they do animal rescue, rehabilitation, and re-introduction.
