Found this on the local mountain bike trails on Sunday. I’m guessing it’s a contour feather, as it is super downy-like. The pattern is interesting though. Any ideas? Guessing grouse or BoP

Habitat: planted pines (tall skinny ones), hilly area. Brown Creeper, winter wren, hermit thrush, pine warbler are commonly heard birds here.

about 2 inches

Feathers like that are hard/impossible to identify, but Ruffed Grouse seems like a good guess.

That's what I figured, but I thought I'd give it a shot!
