Corey
Today in southern Nevada. Vaux's are rare here. The only other swifts here are white-throated which are more common. Yesterday there was a report of Vaux's swifts heading this way so at dawn I was at the wash, photographing anything that zoomed by. Thanks! Aidan B
Yep! Definitely either a Vaux's or Chimney Swift, and given the location, Chimney Swift can safely be ruled out. 2

It is very likely Vaux's, but the true extent that Chimney wanders is not really known due to the difficulty in separating the two. Furthermore, it is very likely that it wanders more than would be suggested by current records. Edited April 22, 2021 by Hasan

There are a good amount of records in California, and they definitely seem to be increasing now that more people are becoming confident in telling the two species apart. I would guess they show up just as frequently in Nevada as they are here.
DLecy
This bird is a Vaux’s. It has a pale throat, rump, and doesn’t appear as long-winged as Chimney Swift. That being said, single Chaetura swifts anywhere in the west are problematic and should be ID’ed with caution. Good photos/documentation should support claims of CHSW.

It does look like a VASW; CHSW has a secondary bulge that VASW generally lacks, as in your bird.
