Taylorjane
This bird was seen last week in Ramsey Canyon Arizona. We believe it is either a Cordillarian or Hammonds flycatcher. Any help with a positive ID would be greatly appreciated! Thank You Edited April 30, 2021 by Taylorjane
Aidan B
Definitely either a Cordilleran or Pacific-slope Flycatcher. I'm not sure what the status of Pacific-slope flycatchers are at the location, so that species might be ruled out by range.
Taylorjane
Thank you Aidan ~ I believe Pacific-slope is in the range, but Hammonds and Cordilleran are more frequent.
IKLland
@Tony Leukering? My thought was buff-breasted flycatcher, but I have no experience

This is either a Cordilleran Flycatcher or Pacific-slope Flycatcher. Cordilleran is the more expected species at this location but they are most safely distinguished by voice. 2

I’ve seen pictures of them and given range and that I’m a very new birder, it just popped into my mind.
