I’ve remembered some calls form last year, but definitely forgot a bunch.

This one was in a ravine coming from a dense area of shrubs over a small creek. I’m assuming some sort of warbler, but it’s not any of the ones I’m familiar with. I thought possibly orange-crowned but doesn’t sound like one to me.

This other one was singing from the cattails somewhere in the middle of some storm water ponds. Assuming some type of sparrow. It sings twice, once at the beginning and once at the end with a Savannah sparrow in the middle.

Thanks!

Yeah makes sense. I’ve been seeing more and more of them every day. I guess I’m just used to their songs being more clicky.

Any one have any thoughts on the 2nd bird?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's a snippit of a Pacific or Winter Wren's song.

Huh that does actually sound quite a bit like it. Though that’d be the 4th one reported within the city.... I guess I’ll have to go try and find it again. I’ll definitely look into that as an option though.
