1.  Black Bellied Plovers--bill, shape, & size look good, but wondered if the back color was too solid?

Hi, @Hasan.  Thank you for the IDs.  I think you misunderstood my description--this was flooded grassland.  An Upland has been seen there for the last several days.  I was hoping we had it.

However, Uppies lack white eye rings and are brown, not dark gray.

I went back and looked at the pics of the Baldwin county Upland and, sure enough, it's on dry portions of the grassy meadow.  Hmmm, wonder why they named it "Upland"...
