That's what I think but I don't know enough to eliminate Royal.  The bills look more red than orange but the light may be deceiving me.

The right bird also seemingly as a pretty thick and short bill, though that could be due to the angle it’s looking at.

@Charlie Spencer @Seanbirds @Connor Cochrane--There were several tern species on the mudflat that day, but the 3 terns in this shot with the Dunlin were definitely Caspians--large terns with thick orange black-tipped bill--more easily identifiable in the field with my bins.   

Ah, now maybe I can finally get a good night's sleep again.
