This was recorded on a prairie just outside of Austin where the first of our overwintering Sedge Wrens were ID'd yesterday. I saw the grasses moving, but no bird showed itself. The calls, very brief, are at the 1.50 and 8 second marks. There's something isn't quite working as a sedge wren--too much like a rattle, not enough like stones hitting each other. I don't know. It's been nearly 7 months 🙂
