02 Jun 2021 Dale co. AL;  semi-rural yard adjacent to steep bluff leading to heavily wooded creek bottom.

I didn't see rustiness on the wings but he appears to have a small rusty patch on the head and yellow wash on the underside, at least the flanks.  I can't decide whether the white stripes on the wing count as wingbars.

I think Eastern Phoebe.  Was it wagging its tail?

I don't recall if it was wagging its tail--I should have noted that! 🙄 I called it Eastern Phoebe in the field (and on my checklist), but wasn't sure when I looked at the pics & also when I noted in the range maps that the area I was in is just outside of the southernmost breeding range for that species in Alabama.
