SmoothPebble
I have read that Eastern Phoebes do not visit seed feeders. And yet, I saw this bird eat sunflower hearts. Sure looks like a Phoebe to me, but I hope I'm wrong; it would be a new bird if I'm wrong. P.S. Roswell, Georgia on May 31, 2021. The Bird Nuts
Eastern Phoebe is correct. All About Birds says they'll occasionally eat fruits and seeds. It's a young one with the cinnamon wingbars, so it was probably curious.

Kerri
I put dried meal works in my feeders on purpose to attract eastern phoebe, northern mockingbirds and carolina wrens 🙂

I've never seen it show any interest in the bird seeds on the feeder. Sometimes it perches on the edge of the birdbath to hunt from also.
Spyonabird
With the scarcity of bugs and other creepy crawlies in our area, we even have American Robins on our feeder eating the sunflower hearts.
Charlie Spencer
For years I've had Carolina Wrens land at my sunflower feeders. They start picking through the seeds, tossing them around and out, looking for ... who knows what? They never seem to eat anything there.
