Hey guys,

im hoping someone can find me. I was hiking in British Columbia in July, last week of July to be exact. I hiked golden ears, and got to the mountain shelter (1500 m + height). When I woke up the next morning I was greeted by a bird. It hovered like a humming bird, and fly very fast like one..but didn’t have the beak of a humming bird. It was a sky blue colour, and white stomach. The white started right under where the stomach is, it was a circular shape. The beak was a short beak, not very thick in size , an orange colour. Ive been trying to google this bird, but haven’t had much luck! Has someone seen this bird and can help me find the type of bird it is!!

I can't seem to find a picture of a "blue bird" or a "mountain bird" that looks identical to the bird I saw.. can anyone think of any thing else?

Just to be clear, I was referring to the species "Mountain Bluebird".  Just making sure there's no confusion there, try this link:
