Birding Boy
At 281, might be able to get one more if I can find that darn Glaucous Gull that's been evading me at the local gull roost
Connor Cochrane
We normally have a poll at the end of the year which is for your end of the year total. I post that in a few days. Currently I'm at 433 in the US for the year (688 for the world) and 372 for California.
Kadynn_H
I was fortunate enough to bird west a couple times this year. I'm at 492 with a few possible birds left like GLGU or SNOW

Aaron
I’m at 198 and have been so since October, from BC and Alberta. I’ve only seen 6 species this month! Quite low compared to last year, but will likely add quite a few when I go to Costa Rica in a few days, but doubt I’ll pass 2020s total of 261. 2022 looks like it should be my biggest year if everything works out Edited December 26, 2021 by Aaron
Peromyscus
I'm at 164 for the year, which is two more than last year, but a lot fewer than when I roamed around the mid-Atlantic instead of birding rather close to home.
PalmWarbler
I'm at 153 (which is also my life list).

It will probably go down to 273 as one of those birds was a Red-crested Pochard that I don't think is ABA countable. Cool duck though! I'm glad we got to see it.
IKLland
@Connor Cochrane Since we haven’t done the poll for the end yet, I’ve finished the year at 249. This was my first full year of birding, I started last November, so my life list is 252, only three above the year list, as almost all the birds I saw were this year. I’m really curious to see what next years list will be like.  Im gonna go to bolsa chica tomorrow to see how many species I can get. My goal is 80.  I had a fantastic first year of birding, and I hope everyone else, new or not, had a great year. Happy new year!

I’m surprised how well I did, I saw 249 species this year, and since last November when I started, I’m at 252!
Peromyscus
I took off from work today with the intention of looking for the Northern Shrike in my county that I haven't seen on three tries (cruddy views the third time, actually, but I'm not counting them). I ended up not going to that spot. I went somewhere else in the morning, though I stayed longer than I had initially planned. When I did finally get home I said f*** it and ended up working for an hour anyway. So I end the year with 165 species.

Clip
Ended the year with 276 species. Removing the Red-crested Pochard but then adding on 1-30-21 a Long-tailed Duck, Yellow-headed Blackbird and Vaux's Swift.
