New Jerseys only nesting pair of Mississippi kites have produced another fledgling, I wonder if any of them will ever come back here,The parents have been coming here for 7 years now and have had 4 fledges in that time but I have never seen one come back to start its own family

Thought this was cool....was surprised how far he went.

Meet 03/BN, a rather precocious young man,who decided that the Shenandoah Valley just wasnt right for him and a trip to the jersey shore was just the thing to liven up his day. This young fella was banded out of his nest on the James river bridge in May, transported to a hacking tower at franklin hills in the Shenandoah national park and released on June 13th.Quite a trip from there to jersey, roughly 450 miles as the peregrine flies. He was spotted at Forsythe refuge hunting for shorebirds. Lets see if he sticks around, although with his history,I think he is a wanderer...LOL
