Last pair of local Pied-billed Grebes to have their second brood. Juvenile trying to swallow a fairly large fish but failed and needed a couple of more attempts.

The cardinal is a molting adult male.  Juvenile Northern Cardinals have dark bills.  And the gray bird is indeed a Little Blue Heron.
