Jim W
This spring and summer, I had a pair of Eastern Bluebirds raise two successful broods in a birdhouse in my back yard. I find it interesting that well after the second brood, they still defend the house from intruders. I guess they are planning to use it as a roost over the winter. Today I was on my patio and noticed a White-breasted Nuthatch go into the house. I knew the bluebirds were close by so I thought there might be some fireworks. I aimed my camera on the house and sure enough, the bluebirds came to serve up an eviction notice. This sequence of 6 pics is probably around 1/4 of a second in total duration.
