RobinHood 1,827
I very rarely get close to a perched hawk (unlike bearcat6) so I will post this one from today.

I only post here and on eBird which I find is a tough crowd. I gave myself a five for this one, really a four, but no other ratings received to date, not unusual - the elite birders seem to get more attention. https://ebird.org/checklist/S76638571 Thanks again.

Avery 1,954
A VT first for me! Sorry for the quality. I don't pretend to be a photographer, so either my entry-level camera doesn't do very well in low light, or I just don't know how to make it work well in certain conditions!

lonestranger 1,183
We don't see Bald Eagles all that often so when I spotted this one across the road this morning, I just had to hobble out and get a few shots. Wish my back had of allowed me to take the DSLR with me, but I was glad to have the extra reach of the super zoom.

Nice photo - which superzoom - thinking about a P950 or something similar. I feel your pain - mid seventies and foot/back/hip pains becoming more of a nuisance daily (but still worth the effort) - today was a perfect fall day in Southern Ontario, just a few degrees above zero, for me far nicer than a mid-summer day, but I was carrying a DSLR/telephoto combo plus a tripod/scope for a few hours, and started to feel it. Maybe a separate thread - birding equipment compromises.? Just a thought.
