I need to work on my photography skills.

Throwback to when I was a young naive child with a bad camera. Now I’m an older naive child with a decent camera. Let’s see what I’ve got. They aren’t all from today, but I haven’t been active for a while, so bear with me.

Finally got some good Grackle shots today! Their subtle bronzy coloration is pretty amazing for a blackbird, in my opinion.

Nice shot!

If you're so inclined, you could report it as the (Bronzed) subspecies, since you pointed it out! By the Atlantic that bronze iridescence is purple!

Thanks!

I looked through a bunch of Bronzed Grackles on Macaulay, and it’s pretty neat to see the range of variation on some of them. Unfortunately the bronzed subspecies isn’t an option on my filter, I’ll see if I can add it tomorrow though.

This was a lens test of a vintage Vivitar 135mm 2.8 lens on my Sony A7ll. This lens was made in the early 70s and the used price in only about $20. I have had this for years and never used it till today. I like it better then my Minolta 135mm from the same area. Photo is from about 5 ft away.

That is a good picture. It just needed a bit of editing. WhatBird decreased it's sharpness from what I had it at.
